Q: Do these also loosen pegs that are too tight?

These drops are designed to keep the pegs in the instrument without slipping so the intention is to make the pegs tighter. Do not apply the drops after tightening the pegs or you may not be able to remove the pegs after that. Apply first before tightening is my advice.

Q: How shipped? First class mail or what?

Mine came in a plastic packet by mail within a week and was wrapped quite well.

Q: Will this work on the wooden tuning pegs on my john maxwell dulcimer?

I don’t have any experience other than with my cello, but hey, wooden pegs are wooden pegs, so it should work fine.

Q: I didn’t read the instruction and put too much on. Now the pegs are stuck. What can I do to undo them?

Use a small wooden dowel that can fit in the hole that is opposite the peg. Use a hammer and lightly tap on the dowel to push the peg out.
