Update - 30 days after assembly (and they were tightened well during assembly), the one chair I use is already loose. I weigh under 120 and this chair was used at most once a day. Would not recommend, especially for regular use or people who weigh more.I've owned IKEA furniture and this isn't nearly as durable.--------Ordering these was an act of desperation, and I had low expectations, especially since there was only one review and it was a ratings-only review. Overall, they're a positive surprise.I wanted chairs that had an updated style and were light colored but not yellowy. Solid wood was non-negotiable.-Cons - the chairs, and especially the front of the seat, don't look like solid wood. They have a plastic-y look and you can't see where pieces of wood are joined together like you can with most solid wood seats. The Amazon listing says both the frame and seat are wood. I also contacted Ashely Furniture though chat and they said the seat is wood.Contacted Ashley a second time after receiving the chairs and they re-iterated that the seats are solid wood. I'm not 100% convinced.The pros:- Style - happy with the style - looks updated.- Color - it matches online photos pretty well. They're definitely not gray chairs, but they have enough gray not to look like plain unfinished pine. They don't match my table exactly, but still look good with it and the chairs seem like they'd be OK with a few different shades of light wood given the various shades in the finish.- Assembly - went together easily and instructions were adequate.- Stable - every single one was balanced and not wobbly on the first try. There are front leg levelers if needed. (Be sure to tighten them all the way in by turning counter clockwise because otherwise they rattle.)- Packaging - packed well, no shipping damage.There's no weight capacity listed and Ashely wouldn't give me one, although they mentioned that they do a lot of durability testing and have corner-blocked frames. I'm a lightweight person, but they seem reasonably sturdy and will update if I have future issues after entertaining, etc.All in all, they're not an expensive chair, and seem like a good value. I'd buy again.
