The front cover of the booster pump was fairly easy to replace. The front cover replacement was advertised as improved. The front cover that was originally on the booster pump started leaking after a couple of years. It's a shame that Polaris' original front cover was made out of inferior products that allowed water to leak through the plastic. I am happy that Polaris and other manufacturers would sale the front cover instead making you buy another pump. That being said, it seems to me that it should have been a recall issue instead of selling a replacement part. I didn't buy the replacement from Polaris.

Great product! No leaks after install. Saved buying a new pump. Only issue were the four bolts on my pump. Difficult to take off. One of the o-rings did not really fit, just used the original one. Pics show the old one that leaked and the new one installed!

It came which was great. I immediately installed and it has a small crack in the bottom and leaks. I'll have to get another. And the red seal was way to small.

I've seen reviews that say it didn't fit. I had a hard time at 1st. I had to use a mallet to gently tap the bottom to get it to attach. The 1st time I put on it leaked badly. Tip is to put the rubber seal on the actual pump then tap the cover on. 2nd time I put cover on it worked fine with no leaks. Be patient. I was frustrated at 1st so I couldn't put it on correctly. I would recommend this product

We purchased a Polaris PB4SQ booster pump in December of 2022. It began to leak less than a year later. Jan 2024 I finally found the receipt to learn that we were outside the warranty period. Started Googling about these pumps to find out they have a horrible design flaw in the plastic body & frequently develop leaks. Fast forward to Feb 2024, and I purchased this kit.Installation was pretty straightforward, with the exception that the bolts holding the body to the pump chassis were sort of "frozen" due to salt buildup from our saltwater pool. I had to take a hammer to the wrench to get them moving. Once I got the bolts removed, the rest was a piece of cake.I think I saw another reviewer mention that this replacement kit's red (smaller) O-ring on the impeller assembly was a struggle to get on. I concur, and would also go so far as to say that this kit's replacement red O-ring is simply not the right size (when placed side-by-side, a noticeable difference in size). I ended up reusing the original red seal & used the replacement seal for the larger one. Once reassembly was complete, I reconnected my water lines, turned the power back on and VOILA! No more leak!This kit arrived on time, packed well, and I appreciate the nice touch of some extra Teflon tape for the pluming connections. HOPEFULLY this will now last me for the remaining life in the pump!

Fit like a glove thank you

My original Polaris PB4SQ pump body lasted just past 1 year warranty before developing a crack on the bottom with water gushing out then the pump was on. This generic body has reinforced bottom and fits like a glove, it took me less than 10 minutes to swap them. Will see how long this one lasts.

Part had a pin hole and was leaking right when I put it on. I returned it and ordered another one.
