The best salt grinder Ive ever used. A little stiff on the price, but worth every penny. I use the Light Grey coarse Celtic Sea Salt in mine. It comes out a little slower than other salts, but thats due to the natural moisture retention the Celtic salt naturally has. But switching between different grind settings is easy as can be, six spring loaded ball bearings secure the base cup, and if need be, can be used as a weapon. Its built like a German tank! Highly recommend for the serious home chef!

Many people like using kosher or sea salt when cooking barbeque; I prefer course Pink Himalayan Salt. The HexClad is high quality and grinds the salt more evenly. Course ground ingredients increase smoke flavor but fine ground ingredients smother the protein with a dense covering.I chose the HexClad because it has many grinding settings, and with the price reduction it cost much less than the other premium salt grinder. I got exactly what I wanted. Thank you.

This is fairly expensive, but it is a high quality product that works incredibly well - consistent grind and steady flow of salt with very little turning of the top.
