Tight enough
Pictures are at 25 and 50 yards with long beard XR 3 1/2” 5 shot out of Mossberg 835. Way tighter then the one that came with the gun.

I Love This Turkey Choke
I run a Remington 11-87 super mag with Winchester XR’s and paired with this choke it’s an incredible combination. Filled a lot of tags with this combo. Definitely worth the money.

incredible pattern at 50+ yards
nice choke. drew a picture of a Turkey head on some butcher paper. paced off 50 yards and shot standing. easily 20+ pellets in neck/head area and very even pattern. using 12 ga 3" #5 longbeard ammo. would easily feel comfortable out to 60 yards with this combo. may be tighter chokes out there, but not at this price point. no other choke can be THAT much better to justify their increased price. buy this choke and dont look back

Good Turkey Hunting Patterns with Carlson Long Beard Choke
Purchased this choke for my Remington 870 12 ga. Throws decent patterns out to 40 yards with handloaded #6 Hevi-shot 13. Will try some different loads to see if I can stretch it out to 50 or 55 yards. This load/choke combo did take a tom at 40 yards here in CA.

WORKS GREAT
WORKS AMAZING IN MY GUN WITH THE LONG BEARD 3.5' #6 SHOT , TON OF KILL PELLETS AT 50 YDS , DRT ONE AT 60 YDS THIS YEAR . IF YOU READ THE DESCRIPTION IT SAYS QUANITY OF 1 , THE PIC IS OF BOTH SIDES OF THE CHOKE . PEOPLE JUST NEED TO READ AND USE COMMON SENSE LOL .

Winchester SX4 pattern
I’ve used this choke before in my mossberg, it shot high and right but pattern was perfect. Along with other carlson chokes and have always been impressed.Out of MY sx4 this choke patterns the LBXR 1 3/4 oz of 5 shot exceptionally well. Very pleased with its performance. I could have taken it further but I feel like 40 is plenty on a bird. Beautiful pattern and beautiful choke. Get one and try it out! (Remember to always pattern your gun with different loads. We owe it to the game we pursue) now, time to try to get my first bird 🤞🏼

Bought this to match the Ammo I shoot. 40/50 yard test.
I have used Long Beard XR #5 3 inch for several years. Recently bought an SBE3 and bought the matching Long Beard XR choke here on Amazon. Wanted to test my range. Here are 2 shots, one at 40 yards one at 50 yards on targets also bought on Amazon. 40 yards is total destruction. 50 yards is a kill shot but probably the outer limit of what I would do. I compared it to another choke using the same ammo. No comparision, this is a much tighter pattern. Highly recommend this choke and the ammo.
