Q: Why does this product claim to be atf+4 and use the trademark "atf+4" when it isn't licensed (per centerforqa.com) ?

Because it exceeds the ATF +4 spec. Licensing is not required in order to meet the performance spec or mention it on the compliance / specs list. Meeting or exceeding the technical requirements for a spec, allows manufacturers to refer to it in when informing the customer about product performance. The additive pack used in this product has been tested and approved by Chrysler / Jeep for their ATF+4 through the additive manufacturer. Licensing is only required if your product is specifically sold and marketed as an OEM licensed product. We do not want to license this product with Chrysler or anyone else, because the limitations placed on the licensing process will require us to downgrade the product, which is something we do not want to do, as the product will lose higher end specs. This product meets about 92 specs and is warrantied for every single one. Chrysler approves only one formulation, theirs. But, in the big scheme of things ATF+4 spec alone is not very demanding spec, not when compared with some of the requirements of ZF, BMW and Audi high performance transmissions, which this product also meets. Yes, it will work very well. Its far superior to the Dexron III ATF and will mix Ok. The TRIAX Global ATF you would probably not need to change it again for the life of your vehicle if your transmission is sealed. It will especially help with the older transmission seals, keeping them leak proof.

It most certainly is. Should not have to change it again. Lifetime fill, 300k miles and up.

Your transmission says to use tes 295 or tes 389 fluid. Triad meets or exceeds the tes 295 spec which I believe exceeds tes 389. So yes you can use it in your transmission.
