Q: Can I replace the wheels with stoppers or gliders?

It comes with sliders for the back legs. It doesn’t look like the front wheels can be replaced unless you can get partial back legs and just replace that section of the front leg.

Q: Our door opening is 22” - will the widest part of this device fit through that opening?

No. Although the width at the top of the walker is around 20", at the bottom with the wheels, including the center projection of the "hub" or "spindle" that the wheels are mounted on, the width is 24". The walker would have to be angled a bit to get the base with the wheels through a 22" door.

Q: Can the wheels be removed and replaced with rubber feet?

It looks like the wheels can easily be removed from the aluminum tubes and rubber feet of the proper diameter pressed in - if they can be found. The walker came with two press fitted "slides" (look like plastic skis) that can be installed on the rear legs as an alternative to those stops (I have tennis balls over the back legs).
