I had a large Hickory tree that was growing sideways and it was leaning over my pole barn. I had three professionals refuse to touch it because they were worried that the tree would kick out if cut and hurt them. Even cutting the top piece by piece was dangerous because the main tree would jump up as it got lighter. The roots were starting to pull out of the ground and I needed to do something, so I bought this kit and cut the tree down. I threw a string over the trunk about 20 feet in the air, pulled the cutting chain into place, and with the help of my son, pulled back and forth until the tree fell. It was hard to pull the chain back and forth, but the saw chain cut at an amazing rate. I used my own rope and we stood back from the tree, holding the ends at a 90 degree angle from each other. At the point we were cutting, the truck was 20 inches in diameter. The plastic handles bent, so I stuck a wood dowel in the hole and it worked fine. This worked perfectly! Had a branch hanging really close to our vehicles. It branched off of the tree about 25 feet off the ground. I was able to use the pouch, filled it with rocks and lobed it over the branch where it attached to the truck. Got it into position and was able to cut threw a branch 10 inches in diameter in under 5min (about 3 1/2- 4min). Well made product. Happy with the seller. And packs into the included carry case to keep it handy in my truck.

The CAMPNDOOR high limb saw is pretty impressive in use. The velcro closure pouches make it easy to add weight for getting the rope over high limbs. Easily attached and removed when finished via eyelet and carabiner of ample strength. Dual sided saw blade makes working the cut a breeze with minimal effort. Very capable of cutting large limbs with ease. The handles are a plus, but works just as well by holding the ropes with the provided gloves. The only negative is the ropes are rather stiff and do not lend well to winding up or unpacking without minor tangling. In all it's not a major issue. The price point seems about right for the quality and function. The included file for sharpening is a plus albeit holding the blade might prove a challenge even in a vise.

I never give product reviews ever!But this is well worth the review. I was very skeptical but this thing has made my life so much easier! 1000/10 recommendation! That limb was 11 inch in diameter.

High quality product comprised of high quality parts. I was skeptical of its ability to perform but had the first limb on the ground within minutes of unpacking. Very easy to use once it is over the limb to be cut. The frustrating part is throwing a line over the limb to be cut to hoist the rope chainsaw, which is an acquired skill. The chain is sharp, build quality is excellent and the kit is very compact and contained within a very nice zippered semi-hard case. The line, chainsaw, carabiners, gloves, and handles are all of high quality. This kit WORKS.

Reality states that your chainsaw will get stuck. Be prepared and have a plan. That is not a fault of this product. It is gravity. It cuts very well and fairly quickly. I believe many limbs will be trimmed thanks to this around my yard. I think it is a good deal at a good price. Tree trimming is not for the faint of heart.

**Update 3/24/25** I reached out directly to the company and they immediately sent out a replacement and stated that it "will include all the correct components as listed on our Amazon product page". And that they did, but they also changed the images on their product page to remove these safer locking links. See the attached with before and after photos. While I commend them on attempting to make it right, this comes off as sketchy and not in the best interests of the customer. At this time I can't recommend this saw as it is too easy for the carabiner clips to accidently lock over a branch making it difficult if not impossible to retrieve. If this were to occur midway through sawing a branch then you could potentially be left with a partially sawn branch that could break and fall at an inopportune time. Because of their sending out a replacement that is inferior and altering their product description to match that, I am dropping the rating down from a 2 to a 1 star. This not only is a safety issue, but one that appears they are trying to hide.At first I liked this saw. Simple and cut well. Mine did not come as advertised though. It had 4 carabiners, when the product description shows it comes with 2 carabiners and 2 quick links. I didn't think much of this until I tried to cut a branch down and as I pulled the saw up the carabiner locked itself onto a branch. The branch was relatively thin so the carabiner clip slid right onto it. Thankfully, with it being thin I was able to use a pole to push the carabiner up the branch far enough to be able to bend it down and pull the carabiner off, but this took well over an hour of work. I will not be using this as is and don't suggest using it if you do not have the lockable links to use around chain. Heck, even around the weight bags, as they could easily get caught this way too.I contacted the company but have not heard back yet. I'm giving this a 2 star as it worked, but did not come as advertised, I will update after I heard back from the company.
