Casts well good action
I’ve got Lews, Abu Garcia and St Croix rods. This rod casts just as well as they do. Make sure to note the action and lure weight ranges.I’d buy this again.

Great Value
I have used this combo for bass fishing for several years. I can cast a mile with a Red Eye Shad bait or crank bait. The rod and real hold up fine pulling in six pound bass, perch, and pickerels. I have used it fishing vertical with blade baits pulling in a six pound bass. I have used it with lipless crankbait pulling in a six pound bass. I am still seeking a seven or more. This rod and real is a great value for the price and it is reliable. Yes, you get an extra tip but you will never need it. Mine sits in the shipping tube and has for several years. I have more expensive rods from Bass Pro that I like, but this combo is light weight (I'm 70), cast far, and reals in reliably. Would buy another but don't need more rods, just like my wife doesn't need more shoes.

Tough and sensitive
I have 2 Kastking baitcasting rods I purchased for lake trout and whitefish jig fishing, a M and a MH. They both work well, but the cork tape started to come off around 150 lake trout on the M. The extra tip is a nice bonus.Update: I landed my personal best lake trout on the M/F 7'6" Spartacus II a couple weeks ago using a Spartacus baitcast reel, 12lb Sufix Revolve braid, 12lb Seaguar flouro lead. Ended up with a 40.5", 20.1lb angry beast and it was about the limit of that pole as it was doubled over, but it didn't break or even make a sound as I reeled that head shaking monster in from 230' deep over 15 minutes. (It felt like an hour lol) Even with almost all of the cork cover peeled off.Hat tip Kastking, just ditch the cork and/or adhesive for something more permanent, and it would be even better. I've caught around 500 lakers on that pole for this and last season so far, mostly tournament fishing. Granted, that generates alot of scent and laker slime over the grip, but that is what a towel is for. I will probably replace it after the season unless it fails. I can easily buy a new top of the line pole with tournament winnings, but at this price point and overall performance though, you can't go wrong and I won't be too torn up if it slips into the water on a vicious laker bite.

Affordable quality rod
I really like this rod I like how they give you an extra rod tip so in case you break yours, you’re still good to go. I like the hook holder on the side away from the main line so I don’t get tangled when I try to remove it I love the color it’s been through a lot my first tip hasn’t broken it’s very light and easy to move around I like the corkscrew grip with the dark green and it’s very good rod.

Better than price point
I don’t normally write reviews but I want to acknowledge how well this was packaged and shipped. I usually buy higher end rods and was hesitant to buy this but the quality is was very solid for price point. AND HAS AN EXTRA TIP. Stiffness was great, I will be a repeat customer and all because st croix couldn’t get me a rod in time.
