Love this base seasoning. It makes simple and affordable meals.I sub $1 can of coconut milk, a protein and some mushrooms or bok choy or noodles and this makes a good meal for two.

This Laksa was so easy to make and delicious.We added tofu and rotisserie chicken along with green onions and bean sprouts.It was definitely a little spicy. We just added a little more coconut milk to it and that helped.

Convient and pretty tasty
These packets are good but I dont use it as is. I spice it up as the flavor can be a bit one note. I always put tamarind powder or paste to brighten it up, and if you dont have a whole can of cocunut milk add coconut powder and mix . I really liked the finished product and its a quick meal after a long day of work

Way too sweet
Not sure if this is meant to be so sweet, but it doesn't taste like the rendang I've had before. Very very sweet, not spicy at all.

So easy to make.
There is no nut in the ingredients list so that’s a plus. Thank you for that. Sometimes there’s candlenut added to rendang depending on the brand. The instruction said to simmer the beef for 40 minutes but most of the times rendang has to be simmered for at least a couple of hours to get the sauce to thicken up and also the flavor to immersed in the beef. Overall the taste of this mix is authentic! It’s most definitely rendang, not curry. Will definitely buy again. Oh yeah, there’s an expiration date on the package. Homiah definitely understand us consumers. :)
