Reason for the price drop - damage
Yes, when the price was dropped from 370 to 290, I just could not resist, ordered immediately. Arrived as promised, but I found the handle cracked and the rod was loosely fitting in it. Had to expoxy it in and have decided not to return it as I like the ferro rod that works fine.

Rub the rod before use.... When you see shiny layer than it will creat a good spark

Very poor quality
Not worth it . It’s a scam item being sold on Amazon . The flint doesn’t work at all . The fero rod used in this item is not real .

From a genuine bushcraft expert…
The quality of the Ferro rod is okay. The striker is pathetic. You can rather use the 90 degree spine of a good bushcraft knife. You still won’t get great sparks. But decent enough to start a fire with a little fuel to your tinder. Use Vaseline to get your fire started fast.The whistle is a toy but useful. Not really loud, but better than nothing.
