Q: Would this help a hearing aid wearer struggling to hear the audio on a zoom call?

Yes - you will need to buy a lead that plugs into your earphone jack on your computer - and also plugs into the external microphone jack on the device - so a 3.5mm to 2.5mm male to male adapter lead. Set to external microphone (slide switch on side) and the sound from your computer will be amplified by the device to your earphones - works well.

I'm not completely clear on this question. It has 2 earpieces but you could use only one?

I am afraid I didn’t check that. I bought it for my father who refused to wear his hearing-aid as he didn’t like the squeal! He unfortunately didn’t like the amplifier either, as he just felt it made everything all too loud. It worked well but I think he had spent too long with low hearing and preferred it that way.
