Very well made unlike cheaper alternatives that look the same
Had a similar looking pepperball and snapped a handle clean off in normal usage. This one is very well made with mall differences in the handle design making it much stronger and easier to use. This is a genuine product which costs more than cheap copies but it is worth it.

Chef'n SaltBall
I originally had the previous design , which was bought as a gift, however the salt ball ears snapped off through normal use and still having the pepper ball I replaced with the new design. This appears a better construction than the old design, and the although many people complain about the ability to grind the salt that come with the product I have experienced no difficulties. Additional the fine to course grinding also appears to work well fro me . The only negative that I have noticed is the filling is a little tricky but thats really looking for a fault. All in all a good replacement for it's previous iteration.

Very good grinder, wouldn't be without it
Love this salt grinder. I had a similar one, but it was accidentally dropped and it shattered. I think I prefer this one, much easier to refill and being able to opt for grain thickness is a great addition. It's very comfortable to use, perfect size, and I keep this as my personal salt grinder when cooking. Only downside I think is that it is slightly expensive as Waitrose sell one for £12. However, my local store didn't stock it. So I bought this instead, bearing in mind it was delivered free of charge with Amazon, can't complain too much. Would be happy to recommend.

Poor quality even before it broke...
Doesn't grind very effectively and when just over 2 years old it fell apart. I bought it for the convenience of being able to operate it one-handed but required a lot of shaking in between pressing on the handles to get anything out.

lots of big crunchy pepper but bottom fell out
Only had this a week, so don't know how robust it will turn out to be, but it feels really sturdy and well made. I love pepper on my food, but have never had a pepper-grinder that gave me the amount I wanted at each squeeze until now. This grinder is great. At maximum setting, you get lots of big crunchy bits of pepper onto the plate. It looks great in real life and is so simple to fill, the top twists off and on, no spillage. And it comes filled with pepper corns.Six months later and the plastic bottom fell out. I managed to super-glue it back and I've been using it since (six months later) with no problems. But I've knocked a couple of stars off because of that.

Good solid construction
This pepper ball is an excellent product. Feels expensive and solid. I was bought one as a gift years ago that fell apart and this replacement will probably outlast me. Looks good on the shelf and the single handed peppering lets you stir and add to taste. We love it

good while it lasted
It survived 9 months then came apart - we've looked after it, not dropped it etc. Good while it lasted but it didn't last long enough.
