I was looking for a solid (obviously) but more importantly FIRM drum throne. Firm is far better for your back and posture. Don't waste your money (and health) on soft, squishy thrones. I've only just bought this, and while I obviously can't attest to its longevity, it's firm and comfortable, which is exactly what I was looking for.I recently returned the DW 5100 (costing £135, compared to this which I got for £105) and this throne is vastly superior. As a sturdy, solid and healthily firm yet comfortable stool, upon first sitting this fits the bill very nicely. It's not cheap, but it's not silly expensive either. Your health is worth the bit extra!
