I color spray painted and then coated w/lacquer using them as mini flower planter for a large event. Naturally due to the material they will rust. It's best to coat w/lacquer and allow a few days to dry and air before usage if you plan to use them against/with water.

Q: Are these watertight? Would they leak if they have water and a small flower in them?

I used them for a birthday party for little kids. I'm sorry they only had waster in them for a short amount of time but they did not leak.

Q: would this be big enough to put like three bar of soap ?

These are not big enough to hold 3 bars off soap. These are mini buckets used more for hobbies or crafts. They would not even hold one bar of soap.
