Essential Tool for Upcycling: The Perfect Picture Frame Assembly Tab Gun
I’ve been upcycling framed artwork and picture frames for a while now, and this Picture Frame Assembly Tab Gun has become an essential tool in my process. Removing and replacing the backing of frames is a crucial step, and this tool has made it incredibly easy.I love how straightforward it is to use. The tab gun allows me to insert flat metal tabs with precision, which securely hold the glass, artwork, and backing board in place. The professional finish I get from using this tool is impressive, and it’s so much more efficient than struggling with alternative methods. The tabs themselves are flexible, which makes it a breeze to replace artwork or photographs without any hassle. Overall, this hand-operated tab gun offers great value and has made my upcycling projects smoother and more polished. It’s a fantastic investment for anyone who frequently works with picture frames.

Works well.
Works well. Makes framing / re-framing so much easier. Has quite a 'kick' so important to hold the frame secure / tightly when firing the tab into the frame, especially on frames of harder type wood / material. Otherwise very easy to use. No more fumbling around with those little pins for me!

Great for a Grumpy Grand-dad
I've struggled quietly for years with changing the contents of factory-produced picture frames; either bending the flexible retaining tabs (and cursing the resulting sore bits on my fingers) or practising my dental extraction skills with a pair of pliers to get the rigid tabs out before exploding with rage when trying to get the darn things back in again. The whole thing had turned me into a very VERY grumpy grand-dad indeed. Blasted kids! Why did they need their own picture frame, anyway? And why couldn't they stick with needing just the one picture, instead of growing up all the time? But then a heavy parcel from UK Framing Supplies turned up after I had ordered it via the Big A --- with almost unseemly speed. (Stingy as well as grumpy, I'd even tried for free delivery but with something that heavy, that wasn't reasonable, was it? It turned up next working day.)Now my happiness is complete. The device is built like HMS Dreadnought, which is why the parcel was so unexpectedly heavy, and it has a generally very good feel to it. It's a snap to put those tabs into the frame. (Geddit? "Snap". Oh well...)What to do with all the rest of the 2500 tabs that come in the box that I also ordered, though? More grand-children, anyone? Start my own framing business? Dragons, where are you when I need you?

Neat, effective, easy to use.
I started restoring old pictures and needed a way to secure the backing board in the frame. This picture frame tab gun is a quick way to secure the board and easier to use than I was expecting.

Good product, especially for softwood frames
I've only recently received the product, but I have started some test runs on samples of offcut frame stock. What I have learned is that is works very well on softwoods. On woods such as Oak and Sapele, it only really buries the end 25-30% of the pin in the wood, leaving a lot of the 'tail' of the pin sticking out, even with the gun on the highest setting. It is very reasonably priced, especially given it's metal construction, and will be fine for hobbyist use.

Very good tab gun
The tab gun works very well and is easy to use. However, initially I had some problems with the adjustment of the pressure as two tabs came out instead of one. The problem may have arisen because I have small hands and found it difficult to apply enough pressure with my fingers to operate the tab gun. People with larger hands may not have this problem. I rang 'Framers Corner' and they helped me over the phone with the adjustment. Since then it works very well. The previous model lasted about 13 years. So, I hope that this one will last as long.
