It is good for storing medications
I used a good thermometer to check the temperature on this item. It is always about +/- 1 degree difference between the two. Room temperature is at 75 degrees F in my house. I set this item to 68 degree F then I turn it on. It goes down slowly to 68 then it turns off by itself then temperature continue to go down to 60 deg while unit is still off, then slowly to go up to 72 deg then the unit turn on by itself. Unit turns off by itself when temperature down to 68 deg ….. I used this refrigerator to store my medications that are ok for temperature between 60 and 72 deg F.

Great truck cooler!
Great little cooler, I work as a delivery driver and keep this in the passenger floorboard with my lunchbox and some drinks inside and they stay ice cold throughout my whole 10 hour shift. Pretty compact given what it does and overall a great purchase for those who need a personal fridge on the go!

Great little cooler
Why did you pick this product vs others?:A little smaller than I would like, but considering I try to hit more than one grocery store in a trip to get all the deals, this is super helpful with that. Even though I have a basic add ice or ice packs cooler, there are some items I prefer to have the extra safety of cooling with a power source, so it essentially lives in the trunk of my car. However I don't have an outlet of any kind back there. This isn't a big deal considering how long the power cord is. I use an old vacuum cleaner extension tube and stick it between the back seat cushions when I'm using it and run it to my car's dashboard easily. The cord doesn't get taught, even as the cooler shifts while driving. Would get 5 stars but had to take one off because it didn't come with the instruction manual it said it would. I found one online though, so I'm glad that was available.

Small, Convenient, and Economical
The media could not be loaded. I purchased the Alpicool C9PT Mini Portable Freezer, 12 Volt Car Refrigerator. The first one I received malfunctioned. It was slow to decrease the temperature and it stalled at 40°F although it was on overnight. Amazon's customer service swiftly rectified the situation and sent a replacement refrigerator. Although the Alpicool C9PT is small, it does supply portable refrigeration to meet your food, drink, or medication needs. The refrigerator comes with an AC 100-240-volt outlet cord, a 12/24-volt cord, and instructions. The cords are approximately 6 feet. I did not measure them. The instructions are easy to follow. The control panel is well-lit with four easy-to-push control buttons. The power cord is plugged in below the control panel. This side of the refrigerator is well-vented on three sides. The refrigerator is CFC-free with heat insulation. It cools to -4°F based on 77°F room temperature; therefore, it varies. There is a temperature memory function and a three-stage intelligent battery protection system. The instructions are clear as to which battery protection mode to select.I plugged the refrigerator into the Bluetti EB3A power station using the 12-volt cord provided. It can also be powered by an automobile 12-volt/24-volt. Using the Bluetti, with the refrigerator set on ECO mode, the power station used 25 watts to maintain the temperature. To maintain the desired temperature the compressor would come on for about three to five minutes and shut off for approximately twenty minutes. The compressor sound is minimal. It's a noticeable hum but not overpowering. A small portable fan is louder. I was able to fall asleep with the refrigerator on and remain sleeping as it cycled on and off.The refrigerator's storage capacity is small but sufficient for one person. I fit four 16.9 ounce water bottles across the bottom of the refrigerator. The bottles were not able to fit in the upright position. The refrigerator is lightweight, easy to pick up, and easy to use in a vehicle or indoors. The refrigerator's lid closes snugly, tight, and securely keeping the cold inside. I have to use some elbow to break the suction to open it. There are no handles on the Alpicool C9PT. I purchased an insulated carry bag with a shoulder strap for convenience and greater insulation in hot weather. The price for the refrigerator is extremely reasonable for a small compression refrigerator. It took about twenty minutes from plug-in to a cooldown of 36°F. My test was indoors on an Autumn day. My indoor temperature was approximately 78°F. I further tested the refrigerator by setting it down to the lowest temperature of -4°F. That required an additional fifteen minutes approximately. The refrigerator was empty during my testing. The refrigerator arrives well-packaged indicating - this side up. There is an outer box. The Alpicool C9PT is located inside an additional box housed snugly in an upper and lower styrofoam cast. A clear plastic loosely cover the refrigerator. The cords and instructions are in a box located inside the refrigerators cooling cavity. As I use the refrigerator I will update my review.

Product Did not Last Long
In Feb 2024 I used this cooler for the first time while traveling around Florida for a month, and I was happy with it. My 2nd trip out started on Monday, May 6. I plugged in to the house current the night before to get it cold and freeze my ice packs. I placed it in car in the morning and somewhere along the way I realized the lights were not on. I stopped and changed the plug from the 12v of my car to my Jackery 500. Still no lights. When I got to the campground, I checked again and tried to do a reset but with no lights, no luck. This thing has just simply died. I have contacted the manufacturer and have not heard from them. The phone # given to call in the US is constantly busy so I filled out the form on the support site. I will come back to update if/when I hear from them.UPDATE: It is now June 1, 2024 and I have not heard a thing. I contacted Amazon Support and because it is beyond the return window for them, there is nothing they can do other than provide with with the manufactures' contact phone number which I have been dialing for weeks and it is constantly busy. AVOID ALPICOOL PRODUCTS.

Stored my insulin for one trip. Paid for itself already
I am not a medical professional, nor do I endorse medical products, but I needed this for a trip to another state halfway across the US. We have thousands of dollars of insulin we need kept cold everywhere we go. Worked great!

It works!
So far, this little refrigerator/freezer has worked awesome. We only used it for a week, but it kept ice cream bars frozen in our car and in our motel room. It kept the temperature below zero almost all the time. Good freezer for the price.
