Screw the unit’s pl259 plug into the magmount’s so239 socket, then screw the mobile whip’s pl259 into the unit’s so 239 socket and you are done. Any mobile whip for 2m or 70cm will fit into the unit. I use a 7/8wave whip which is better for better ground wave operation. Not used it with 70cms but the 2m ones work ok. The longer radials are for 2m and the smaller ones are for 70cms. No they won’t as they are tuned for vhf frequencies 144Mhz and the smaller ones are tuned for uhf frequencies the radiating whips for cab radio would have to be a lot longer in length to give you a good ground plane on 27Mhz 👍

For the purposes of suitable antenna used with this alone static or antenna+mag mount mobile, you'll really want a single/mono band antenna for the frequency/band range of interest - especially for TX use.  So you'd want a quarter wave or better vertical (for simplicity and compromise) that's single band for the frequency range in question and adjusted preferably centred on the lowest or mid frequency in the segment or typically mid/high frequency within the band for iPhone voice comms for best in-band Rx relative to the limits of the antenna in question.

A quarter wave is a typical compromise choice as it's relatively compact and suffers less wind sheer but is dB lossy (at least 6dB down where a dipole is unity gain).  So a half wave or mobile collinear is a better choice but bulkier and much more a wind sheer liability.

Of course, at UHF/SHF the bulkiness and wind sheer aspect proportionally becomes minimal as a reduced size antenna at around 400mhz or higher is fairly small (at 5 GHz, a reduced size antenna is dangerously close to being as small as it's mobile mount).

So suitable antenna, I guess for dual use with this kit static and with mag mount mobile, entirely depends on frequency coverage demand Rx wise and potential Tx use where you may operate and go on-air (duely licensed).

Note - most quoted gain figures on specs are BS, based on what should be the case vs a reference dipole or isotropic radiator respectively - rather than a measurement taken from a reference example of the manufactured product under an optimal real world installation.

Example, a quarter wave won't ever have passive gain, a true half wave setup optimally should be unity gain (basically as per a properly installed dipole) and for simplicity, there's no real usable (to the point of relevance) gain until you hit collinear antennas for vertical monopole antenna purposes where optimally where indicted Sig strength will be better (as received) by an S point or two (upwards of 6dB higher).

Notable that with reduced size antennas, where coils are involved to make up the missing EL, base loaded (coil at bottom) tend to transmit with energy firing a very high angles skyward hence relatively short range.  A centre load position gives a good angle compromise between mid and high angle firing to useful for local and distance use.  But the use of the loading coil narrows the resonance dip around current adjustment, so on a quarter wave notably you'll have to chose a centre frequency and adjust relative to that based on which part of the band of interest.
