***I will leave the original review in place so you can see what happened...but I changed the stars from 2 to 5*** The customer service people are just wonderful! They saw my review & then called, texted and emailed me. They express-mailed a new clock to me and it works perfectly! I am extremely happy with the clock and the company... HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Very very pleased.This is a cute (and expensive) piece of nostalgia. I had another one of these that kept time and the tail never moved. Had it for over 20 years and hated the fact that the tail would not move the eyes back and forth the entire time I had it. Finally, the clock stopped working so I decided to splurge and get this "90th" edition with the extra tails and bow tie. Well, sure enough, the darn thing will not keep going. It will work for maybe an hour or two and then it stops moving. Keeps the time just fine (like it's predecessor) but this is really annoying, to spend almost $80.00 and get a dud. The inserts with the clock say that the new owner has great access to help from the factory where it is hand made and tested... I have tried to reach them for days and no one has returned my call or email. So, here is my review. This is a mediocre product. It looks cute but I would not recommend buying one.**Update: the company rep DID return my email, it went to my spam and I found it days later. However, I had already gone to the website trouble-shooting and tried what was suggested. The only thing I did not do is remove the eyes to see if the tail works without the eyes... which sounds like too much for me to do. I did 4/5 other things they suggested and nothing keeps the tail/eyes moving more than a few minutes. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend this clock.

It’s an extremely simple motor, and the mechanics are the bare minimum, which I find that really charming. It’s been almost a year, and I finally had to change out the batteries, and so it uses almost no power. It keeps very accurate time. I’ve not had to adjust the time even once due to it being a little too slow, or too fast, which I find very impressive, considering I’ve that had watches, which were double the price, and very modern mechanics, that would lose a few minutes a week, or more. It’s like we’ve forgotten, or more like we’ve stopped caring about making accurate time pieces and it’s great seeing something so delicate be so accurate. There is almost no noise, which is nice. It looks exactly as it does in the pictures. Everyone that comes over has to comment on how cool it is, even though it’s fairly small compared to other decorations that I have near it. It just has a classic charm that appeals to everyone, I guess. I love it, and it was worth every penny, and then some.

Hubby 50th bday gift. I wanted it special. For fans of retro things it was perfect. You get more for your money. There’s additions and quality additions to a classic piece.

Well I am greatly greatly disappointed in this cat clock. I am from the time I remember the original that plugged into the wall. This is a cute idea of reproducing with the add on tails and bow tie, but….someone dropped the ball big time in the construction of this cat clock reproduction. It is made of the lightest plastic. The back is hard to get back on once you have opened it to put batteries in, which you have to do. The clock and it’s back are not a good fit, and the cheap plastic is of no help when struggling with it. If the back is not on totally right I fear it might fall so be careful. I put it on a wall. I mean that is the idea. It would not move its tail. I trouble shot it as described. Moving moving moving it. I got it working. Then I opened my closet door on the same wall and it stopped. Back to moving it around trying to get it to work. Then it stopped and I had not even opened the closet. Okay try another wall. Moving it. Moving the nail in and out it and finally it would run maybe 15 minutes, maybe a whole day but then it would stop. I have seen lots of these now on eBay as people must have been past their return date and are now trying to get rid of them. I even took the extra insurance on the clock, something I NEVER do, planning on having it a long time. However, for the high price it is, the cheap construction, the fact it’s parts don’t seem to fit well, and the biggest thing it will not keep its tail moving or it’s eyes. Nope going back. Save your time and money and say no to this guy. Don’t let his cuteness fool you. Let’s face it. If we wanted a clock for just telling time, which I did not have a problem with mine keeping time, well… there are a lot of clocks for less money that will do that. The whole idea was to get to watch the cats eyes MOVE and it’s tail to WAG. Going back tomorrow.

I bought the black and white Kit Kat Clock for myself. My Adult kid loved it and wanted one. I ordered this deluxe version for her a nd gave it to her on Thanksgiving as an early Christmas present. She used the Red Tail and Green Bow Tie. This was a hit! She loves it! This arrived quickly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEALER!
