Q: does the set of 3 suitcases fit into one another when you are not using them so you can save space

Yes, they do!! Using the middle case now as I travel Vietnam and Cambodia! Love this new luggage, so easy to roll, solid and they expand for for all the stuff I am buying.

Q: How solid/flimsy is the telescopic handle on this?

Used twice. Cruise joining and leaving ship abroad and appears to be solid enough. Been on 2 flights and case on all occasions full to the brim and telescopic handle as good as new

That locking system is terrible bad. Mine got spoilt in my first trip. As I write the zip is not even working now.
