Firstly, you need to make sure your music is downloaded onto your computer. Without downloaded music, you can't put it onto your mp3 player. Then, the easiest way is to transfer the music onto an sd card. The little sd card fits into an adapter (a slightly bigger piece of card supplied when you buy an sd card). Put this into the SD slot at the side of your computer, get files onto the screen, and drag the music files from your computer onto the blank sd card. The remove the sd card, take it from the adapter and place it in the slot on your mp3 player. This is a better method than downloading music onto your mp3 player direct, because its easier to get the sd card to show on your computer than to get the mp3 player on, and if it breaks or dies, you still have your music on an sd card, ready for another device. I can do this all easily, and once you get the hang of it, you'll find it easy, though it sounds complicated. It isn't really. Good luck.

Q: I want to use this when jogging/exercising. Is there a clip that attaches to your clothing?

No there is no clip however you would be able to put it in an iPhone armband or something similar and I am sure it would work when out jogging. It’s sturdy as I purchased for a young person I work with and it was hopped of the floor more times.
