Wouldn't be without
I love these, l have been useing them for 2 to 3 years as l have a swallow problem and my smoothies have to be ice cold so l mix a large blender jug which lasts me for about 30 hours and put about 4 ice cubes in the pioneer and there always still cold. There brilliant wouldn't be without them.

Brilliant for hot lunches at work - really keeps food hot a long time
I have 2 of these food flasks - I love having hot food for lunch during my gardening job.The capacity is really generous. Even so, I usually manage to eat it all up :) sometimes using one flask for soup and one for porridge/grain/noodles.They keep food really hot for a long time - I've never found the food to be anything other than hot, even if I eat later in the afternoon.I first bought one in 2017. I've been using them ever since, often daily, especially through the winter.Totally rely on them and think they're great.

Flask
I bought this flask for work so I could have hot food in winter. It did not have any pre heating instructions so I presumed it was not necessary. The first day I had soup in it, I put it in at 7am and by 12.30 at lunch time it was only warm, certainly not hot. The second day I had pasta but I preheated the flask for 10 mins with boiling water and over heated the food for longer than I normally would. By the time that 12.30 came the pasta was warm at the top but pleased to say it was hot in the middle. So I will try soup again but will over heat it, and I will pre heat the flask with boiling water so hopefully it will still be hot at 12.30. It does advertise to be hot after 8 hours but I doubt this, unless I have a faulty flask. Nice looking flask and nice wide top to eat out of. I have now done another test with soup, pre heated with boiling water for 20 mins, over heated the soup and was pleased to find at lunch time it was hot, it does obviously start to cool quickly once its in the cap, so you need to drink quite quickly.

Very happy with this purchase.
I bought this for my husband as he loves to have soup every few days or so and we were tired of the old leak-y plastic container that we used before this. No more cold soup for my hubby for sure! Now, I can't take this as set in stone because what hot soup means for him is just a bit more than lukewarm to me. Anyway, after around 8h he claimed the soup was so hot he had to keep the flask open for 20+ minutes to cool down, for him to be able to eat it. I keep forgetting to test this claim myself but since he's the one using it, I just believe it keeps it hot enough to enjoy it after several hours. The soup was very hot when i poured it into the flask as I had just finished cooking it so that might be one reason it was still too hot to eat after 8 hours.Features:- The flask is completely cold on the outside while I pour really hot soup into it and it stays cold while keeping the food inside hot for several hours. So it is totally safe. It can be even safe for children as long as they can unscrew the top easily without the risk of pouring hot liquids on themselves, it seals very well so it might not be that easy.- Completely leak proof. Nothing escapes the vacuum insulated cap, which is covered by a plastic bowl like cap and then another cap that you see in the presentation picture. So two screw tops plus the plastic insert between them (that I don't know what it's for). I have not noticed any leakage what so ever no even within itself.- We got the 700ml one, which holds up to two bowls of soup. Wasn't sure about getting a bigger one or not, but my husband says this one is big enough for him.

Only keeps heniz chunky soup warm for 4 hours
To be honest, this is my second one at each because the first one I lost but I don’t recommend this theyonly keep your soup warm for four hours and that’s pouring boiling water into it to warm it up. First why your soup cooking so it’s a no no for me, not happy with it.

Brilliant flask, with 6 months of use I find it difficult to believe the bad reviews
I decided to trust the majority of reviewers comments and with over 6 months use I cannot be more pleased. After reading some negative reviews I decided to test it properly so after the initial pre warm as you should do with all flasks I filled it with boiling water 98'c, eight hours later I opened the flask and tested 74'c I the left the same water in for another 12 hours and 52'c. I use this for out on the road and prepare food at 0430 and eat around midday and it is still literally steaming hot. Ideal for stews and soups but you have to let it cool or use a bowl. Pasta and rice dishes cool a bit quicker unless you have a lot of sauce and needs experimenting as you need to undercook the rice or pasta and make the sauce watery to allow for it to continue cooking and absorb the water while in the flask, if not the meal can become stodgy or dry.. Once you get the cooking right it is a welcome change from sandwiches and warming on cold days.To the guy who said it leaks and cold in and hour I can only assume you cross threaded the lid which can be done if rushing so yes it will leak and cool quickly as there is no seal created. The neck is a little small for big hands to fit inside to clean but majority of the time it cleans out with a swill under the tap or use your brain and wash brush or sponge and a spoon. It is large enough to fill easily with food and eat from it direct. Before you decide to buy I suggest testing your portion size as some days I need the full litre other days I struggle. Make a typical meal and use a measuring jug or similar to see if the ¾ or ½ litre would suit you better.
