Great vibration killer
I really like that is was the perfect vibration mat as in length and thickness. It does actually silent/dampen the noise our stupid boiler pump. It hasn't been cleaned or properly checked in a while, therefore it is super noisy. My personal idea was to get this mat and acoustic foam to put all around it in order to make the noise less pleasant and it actually worked. It is now a bit quieter, which is great. The packaging was a bit funny, as they used a much bigger box than necessary as well as paper inside the box. However, it wont go to waste as I will use it for the future.Overall, great product for the price and it does the job.

Quitens bathroom pump
Have a Stuart Turner bathroom pump (2 bar). It's screwed directly to the floor. Have installed underneath, and this works a dream. The pump is much quieter, although still audible. The mat is big enough for three fans / pumps. Have installed on a further fan (inline and in loft) and keep the remainder for potential third fan.

Smells a bit industrial but only when you open it (or sniff it)
I got this to silence a desktop PC, so not any workbench tools (although I can tell you this mat is quite thick I can imagine things rocking about on top of it, and no motion transferring to the table, so if you are going to get it for tools keep this in mind)It works really well, even if I press my ear to the table I cannot hear it! Before you could feel it - which is quite bad when you work at the desk!It doesn't smell (when I opened the bag I got a really strong smell of what I can only describe as "industrial rubber" and wasn't sure if I wanted it in my bedroom, however it doesn't give off any oder I am happy to report. The Draper logo is ... I wish they hadn't put that there, but you can always turn it the other way up.I know these are very cheap to manufacture (it is just rubber with bubbles in it passed through rollers) and usually this knowledge makes me unwilling to pay, but I feel I got good value for what I paid (£13) because it works so well.I also did some other tests, like a vibrating games console pad on it (which is a much larger and lower frequency vibration) a fan, the same fan with a blob of blue-tac taped on one of the blades (so it really shook), this mat works.

Another unconventional use: silencing vibrating hard drives and more
We have a little media server running beneath the TV: a low-power computer connected to the TV and to a large, multi-drive NAS drive. In our new furniture, when the drive runs is causes a very low vibration: more of a minor buzz around the edges of your peripheral, but annoying and noticeable all the same.I know this item is intended to reduce vibration in bench-top machinery but I cannot praise it enough for it's ability to completely deaden the vibrations coming from my hardware, it runs totally silently now.I was surprised at just how big it is too! It's very easy to cut with a pair of scissors and seems to have lasted ages. Having used it for our hard drives, I've now run around the apartment situating it underneath all the other buzzy things: the hotwater pump, an extractor fan in the bathroom, even the aged dishwasher and fridge/freezers have been pulled out, seated on this matting, and silenced!

Water pump mat.
Very good performance for water pump vibration. It is not completely quiet, but has got much better.I recommend it as a water pump mat.

Perfect under a shower pump.
I’d originally got this to try and shut up my Sky Q box - and it worked for that but looked, unsurprisingly, awful. I got a different product to sort that one out in the end but decided to try this on my shower pump. It’s amazingly effectively, reducing the noise down to an absolute minimum especially downstairs. I’d previously thought i was being clever by using an old bit of rigid house insulation, but the Draper mat just proved I was completely misguided on that one.Size wise, you’d need 2 for a washing machine - at least - but in the case of the shower pump, i actually was able to fold it over, giving pretty much double the benefit.Wish i’d Got one years earlier - just didn’t appreciate how much difference it would make.

Used as a base for aquarium and absorbs all vibrations perfectly!
I bought this mat a couple of years ago and felt like I should provide a positive review.I cut this mat in half and used it underneath my aquarium in the bedroom as it was going on top of a glass-topped chest of drawers. The water pumps in aquariums can generate a lot of vibration and this product absorbs everything, there are no vibrations felt on the glass surface at all. I used the other half of the mat to wrap around the air pump which is under my bed and was otherwise sat on the carpet causing a lot of vibrations up through the bed during the night. This helped tremendously and again, does what it advertised, absorbs all the vibrations from the air pump without any issues.Very happy with the product and the price, and would recommend for any other situations where vibrations from electric devices are an issue!

Placed under soundstage - improved sound
Used under my soundstage which is currently sat on top of an oak chest of drawers that has a habit of absorbing a little too much sound... After putting this underneath, I can actually hear the low frequency sounds far better (subwoofers point down) which is exactly what I wanted. It was pretty much the exact same size too, just needed a little trim with scissors to perfect it. The drawers no longer vibrate anywhere near as much as they did previously and the sound in the room is much improved.Cheap, simple, effective.
