Excellent design and easy to use
The media could not be loaded. I’m very impressed with this cleaner. It’s exceptionally well-designed and easy to use. The run charge is long enough to do our stair carpet and all our downstairs hard flooring in one go. The full-length attachment and brush head does a very good job of getting hair and dust from the carpet and transitions perfectly from the carpet to our wood flooring. The LED lights on the brush head are very effective and provide a great view of the area you are working on. What also impresses is the manoeuvrability of the vac: it is not ungainly at all and feels surprisingly light and is easy to steer. It has two power modes: normal and ‘boost’ (which I tend to use quite a bit - but even in normal mode suction is good and effective for most purposes/average amounts of dirt and hair). Noise-wise I’d say it’s maybe a touch quieter than other similar vacs I’ve tried before (which is several of this design type) and quite acceptable. The smaller brush head (and which converts the unit into the more hand-held guise) is also a very effective little unit, and it made short work of getting a lot of dirt and hair from the stair carpet which is a particular magnet for it). The dust chamber is easy to empty too (just remove the attachment and pull a button). I also like the fact that this unit does not feature a charging stand or station (which other vacs of this type often do) and just comes with a wall charger the size of a plug and a charging cable that plugs into the port at the back of the main unit. I find this more convenient as you can plug it in to charge anyways whiteout having to move a charging station (which are sometimes fiddly to get the vac to sit ‘just so’ to ensure it is recharging). One thing to note is that the vac will not stand up upright on its own/unsupported when attached to the full sized wand/brush head (but the brush head/wand will do so if unattached). It comes with a handy bag to store the attchements which include crevice tool and one for more delicate vaccine e.g. soft furnishings and curtains. All in all this is an excellent and effective machine. Not cheap, but Shark do quality, well-made products that last, and this unit is so easy to use and live with I think it is justified (and a good replacement to our two other vacs that do different cleaning jobs).Highly recommended .

Functions well on all floor types, easy to store and flexible usage - great!
Shark PowerPro Pet Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: I’ve had my old cordless vac for over 10yrs and it’s now starting to leave more debris than it picks up so, of course, anything would be better… however I can certainly say this is so much better than my old one ever was. This is quite sturdy, a little heavier than I’m used to but nothing major and it manoeuvres very well and is very straightforward to use on hard or carpeted floors. For a cordless it’s suction would challenge many a corded upright and I guess that technology has moved on in 10yrs as you can increase suction using the lever on the front - a little bit tricky if I’m honest, but a useful option. The tools provided ensure you can get into the edges or corners adequately.I love how easy it is to empty, my last was very tricky to detach and realign but this is a breeze. I also like its flexible wand, making it very much easier to get under units and seating. Most important of all it cleans well, I don’t have pets but do have a very messy other half and this quickly takes care of business. It also has a great run time, at 40-50 mins I can get through the house in one go.This stores really well, it folds down on itself and stands independently taking up very little room - very convenient. For the money (£189 currently) it’s brilliant. I’ve never been let down by Shark and this is another great machine for a very reasonable price.

Excellent cordless vacuum but with a few minor issues
The PowerPro is the third Shark cordless vacuum cleaner I have. I’ve had a Shark Stratos for two years which I bought from Amazon and it’s been absolutely superb. That’s a flag ship model and has a very premium feel to it. It was very expensive but I don’t regret buying it for a second. Then, just over a year ago I tested Shark Detect vacuum which I wasn’t so fond of. It’s was really lightweight and easy to handle, but lacked the battery endurance to tackle my house so I keep it in my shed to clean up after I’ve been doing some work in there. And now I’ve had the PowerPro for the last month, and my feelings towards it are generally very positive. In appearance it is very similar to the Stratos. It’s fractionally lighter, handles similarly, and is quite a bit cheaper. Like the Stratos it is one of Shark’s vacuums aimed at pet owners so should be capable of dealing with all kinds of dog hair. But that’s where things started to go a little astray in my testing. We have a long-haired border collie who moults everywhere. In thick clumps, regularly. I also have a wife with very long hair which also gets everywhere. The Stratos, in over two years of usage, has been magnificent at keeping the house hair-free. And it’s never got clogged once. I’ve never even removed the roller for cleaning, something that the Shark vacuums are easy to do on. However, the PowerPro, has regularly clogged up. The very first clean I did with it I had to spend a few minutes unwrapping a clump of hair that had wound itself around the roller. That wasn’t ideal. What was impressive was the battery life. The Stratos I have is a dual battery model. Two 60 minute batteries. In reality those batteries last 15-20 minutes each in our house. Because of the dog hair it’s often at full power and eats through the battery. The battery on the PowerPro, and there is only one of them, isn’t rated as high as the Stratos so I was expecting it to conk out of juice in 10-15 minutes. But it didn’t. It was able to clean the entire house on a single charge. Being only a single battery does mean there’s not much room for drop off in battery life over the coming years, which it will do. There will come a point where I’m no longer able to clean the entire house on a single charge, which is why I will always recommend a twin-battery model if you can so you don’t get range anxiety.Overall though, I’ve been quite impressed with the vacuum. You get some decent additional attachments to allow you to clean upholstery, the car and the stairs. It’s well built and it’s much cheaper than the Stratos so it’s a very good middle ground. Personally, if the right offer is on, I’d still go for the Stratos, but The PowerPro is a solid vacuum that most will be very happy with.
