Q: Is this a replacement for the bead head superstar liquid blow dry lotion?

I don't think so. It helps give your the look of more thickness. Goes on wet hair and is heat activated. It really works well as I have thin fine hair.

Q: Does this increase shine?

I love this product for volume but have not noticed an increase in shine.

Q: ehat is the difference between the yelloe cap and the clear capped one?

The clear cap is older. The yellow cap is just the newer packaging.

Q: How does this compare to the Small Talk purple pump volumizer?

I loved the pump volumizer when I had shoulder length hair with layers. This product works best for me since my hair is very long with long layers. It’s best used at the root of the hair for lift by parting sections and spraying along the root.
