It does not have the ability to lighten your hair but it can help tone down the brassiness. How brassy your hair is will determine how much of it you can eliminate. You can use the product a few times in a row to get rid of more unwanted warmth.

I don't think it will. At least it did not work for me. It did dry my hair to straw and I tossed it. I tried another called Hollywood Gem bonding shampoo, and it did deposit silver color over my pale blonde with one use. It did not dry my hair, and it washed away after a few washes. For what it's worth. Good luck.
