What happens when cherries are not in season? Can I power this with other fruit?

These are speakers, cherry in color, not a food.

Should the power switch on the back remain on when not in use? there is a loud "thud" when i turn them off using this switch. the main unit stays hot.

The heat baffles on mine stay hot as well. I just turn them off via the switch in the back when not in use. I get the loud thud with other speakers I have (different brands) in other rooms.

I've had mine for about a year, loud squealing sound then died, what does that mean, no warranty, ??? No luck???
