Works great. I'm a lock Smith and a programmer so this item makes it easy for any task. Had no issues with it at all. You will need an arduino r3 or r4 to operate but other than that this item is amazing.

Sorry to say it didn't work.
I am sorry to say that I never got this product to work. the default setting for it is UART and i downloaded the sample projects and made the changes to set it up for UART (the board default), and never got it to recognize the RFID chip that came with it. Do to my physical limitations it would cost me more to return it than it would to just write it off as a loss. there are other brands out there that have the same thing you might want to look into before buying this one. just as a side note i have several Raspberry Pis including the PI zero, 3B, 4B, and 5. I am not a newbe when it comes to working with hats or devices that connect to the pi.
