Q: what kind of calcium?

The label says calcium carbonate.

Q: are these really minis?

Depends on what you mean by minis. My purchase of Caltrate 600+D3 was for a bottle of 165 tabs, but they're the same size as I've been buying for years, though they've changed colors (pink to lavender). Placing a single pill on a tape measure, it's between 12/16 and 13/16th of an inch long or just a tad over 3/4 inch long. I wouldn't call that "mini", but it's not as bad as some to get down.

Q: What is the expiry date of this product?

The expiration date of each bottle is on the label just below the product code. There is the lot # just above the EXP Date -- such as 08/23. Which means that after August, 2023 you should no longer use this bottle of Caltrate 600+D.
