If you have the original don't try to hammer off the darn gear it's not coming off just buy this
Just get this for the ender pro 3 and whatever other one it probably will go to

Fits CR-10S, reduced noise successfully! Also install a vibration damper at the same time
Even when brand new, my CR-10S always made a lot of vibrating noise when the bed (Y axis) moved back and forth. I should have had Creality replace this stepper motor under warranty. I got this and a stepper motor vibration damper - - and the noise level while printing is much improved. The install is pretty easy, there are plenty of youtube videos, but just take a photo of how its installed before. Its pretty much just a few screws. Photos attached of the Y axis stepper motor. I believe these printers use the same stepper motor for all axes.If your printer is less than a year old, you should contact Creality for a free warranty replacement of the stepper motor before buying this. Even if you buy this too because don't want to wait for them to ship the replacement, you'll have a free backup and they should replace defective parts if under warranty.

Does not work on x or y axis of a Elegoo Neptune 3
Does not work on the X or Y axis of a Elegoo Neptune 3. 1. The stepper pulley cover does not fit because the shaft of the motor is too long. It would fit if you printed a spacer for the motor. 2. A think the voltage required or the wiring of the motor is different than the neptunes factor motor. When trying to make the motor move, it just violently shakes back and forth.

Worked flawlessly. Did exactly what it was supposed to do as an extruder stepper motor.
I'm disapointed that Creality does not have this longer-shank motor as the one that comes WITH their printers. It can not cost but pennies more than the otherwise identical motor that is included. So when you want to upgrade to a better extruder (and you should since the default plastic extruder for the Ender-series printers inevitably deforms when used, and then it skips A LOT) you HAVE to purchase a motor upgrade -- not because the motor is defective in any way, but for a longer shaft coming out of the motor. What a waste of money or a scam. But this motor itself works great, just like the motor it replaces.

Works great!
Unfortunately I purchased a Ender 3 Pro that was highly damaged - I had to replace the stock stepper motor gear and found out that it is pressed on! I ended up removing it only to learn that the shaft is completely round causing the filament to slip. Such a pain! The Creality Official 42-40 was the solution and came with the gear that needed to be replaced. I am happy to report the printer is working like new :)

Great upgrade for old ender 3
I wore out the gear in my extruder and needed a replacement. For a few dollars more than just the gear, I bought the whole motor with the set screw version of the gear. Nice to know it will be a simple part change when the next one wears out, the set screw is much easier than the press on gear. I'll keep the old motor as a spare for emergency use.

Replacement extruder stepper
I wanted to upgrade my the plastic extruder parts on my Ender 3 Pro with the metal version. Unfortunately, my extruder had the pressed on extruder gear. I did get the pressed gear off but found the existing shaft to short. I wish I just ordered a replacement extruder stepper from the beginning.
