Q: What does bank 1 batteries run and what does bank 2 batteries run in the 5 in 1 weather station?

Hello Daniel, Having two banks in the battery pack allows you to change the batteries in the pack without losing power to the 5in1 sensor. Both banks will power the 5in1 sensor. Q: Will i have to reset the display after installing?

Hello Sparkyman, Typically when removing batteries from the sensor, the display will need to be reset. It is possible that the sensor will reconnect without having to reset the display. If you do lose connection and connection is not reestablished, Please verify you are using a high quality standard alkaline battery and try the troubleshooting steps listed below. If the issue continues please contact the AcuRite Support Team via Live Chat. Thank you. Hard reset: - Bring both units side by side and remove all batteries, unplug display if it has an ac adapter - Change the ABC Switch to a different setting and ensure that both are on the same setting. example - If on A, move both to C - Place batteries into the outdoor sensor first - Place batteries into display - Allow units to sit side by side until they connect. Q: Does this work in a ambient weather station ws-0900?

Even though it may not be available for ambient ws900, that doesnt mean one cannot be custom built for it. We 'cobbled' a battery pack for our ambient weather using rechargable batteries A small solar panel and ran wire to connections on roof and it works. Not for resale as If it blows up or something stupid happens, i dont wanna be sued good luck.
