Only Derailleur with 8 speeds that worked with my Lectric XPEdition and Aipas A6 Cargo bikes
Update: I have now installed this very derailleur on 6 of my ebikes including my Wallkee's and it's been fantastic. Pro tip, don't skip over the chain sizing page in the installation manual it's critical you get the length right for this to operate smoothly. I skipped over it for the first three installs and spent hours trying to make it work right. For the last three installs I followed the chain sizing guide and it was smooth shifting after a minor index tweak.OG Post:I first started with a Shimano 8-speed derailleur and shifter, but it would not move enough for my Lectric XPedition or Aipas A6 on an 8-gear freewheel from Shift Maniac. However, I decided to give this a try based on a YouTube video I watched. This worked perfectly on both my bikes, but be sure you get the short cage and not the medium cage if you're doing this. I first got the medium cage, but it was too long for my e-bike.Combining this with the microSHIFT shifter you have to use, it's a delightful experience. After watching a Park Tool video on YouTube about how to set and adjust an 8-speed derailleur, I was able to get this perfectly tuned to the point it almost feels like it isn't even shifting because the handoff between gears is so smooth. I have put over 300 miles on this derailleur now, and I have not had a single missed gear going up or down.

Gamechanger Bravo microSHIFT
This super short derailleur with its 8 speed pro shifter has to be best shifting and range capability for cassette for a small wheel bicycle with a spring clutch. My bicycle was 16' inch Citizen Tokyo a small folding bicycle with a rim size at 305mm smaller than Bromton's 349mm. With a limited 6 speed freewheel 14-28 i wanted more speed and torque but need to install a cassette but no derailleur could fit since the Citizen Tokyo came with a super small Shimano Tourney. When i saw that microSHIFT made a super short derailleur for 20 inch 405mm rims MTB target for kids i wondered could i MacGyver on rim with 100mm less diameter than it was rated for? to push the limits of the cassette i used a 8 speed 11-32 oil slick cassette. Then after tuning and aligning the shifting it worked and with the 8 speed pro Acolyte trigger shifter it shifts like dream and the speed and torque gains make it a different bicycle from stock, as can go over 20 mph with ease and still be be able to climb hills thanks to range gains of the cassette over the flywheel. This groupset opens the possibility for small folding bicycle to quality derailleurs, shifters, and capability that true unlock the potential of small frames.
