Best journal ever!
This journal was so neccessary in a time I felt hopeless & without direction. I learned so much about what really matters to me & was able to adjust some things in my life that didn't align with my core values. I highly recommend as a companion to therapy or if you're just on a path of self discovery.

Life changing guided journal
Completely worth the price. Keep in mind, finding your values can be like trying to grab smoke. The journal takes away unclear values and forces you to ask clarification questions, and recall what makes you move toward what is important to you. Definitely a key to better understanding yourself, your purpose, your direction, and your “why”

I had high hopes for this journal. I read reviews. I check the website. I was bombarded by ads for it on my social media feeds. I finally gave in and ordered one. When it arrived I was excited. Nice packaging. Nice presentation. When I flipped through it I was dismayed to see that the majority of the book is just a daily template asking the same few questions. There is a nice few pages in the begining but I was hoping for more than just another repetitive fill in the blank pages hardcover journal. At least the first 40 pages or so have some instruction and various exercises. If the product description info available online said anything about two thirds of this book being the same, I would not have gone through the trouble. I am interested in learning more want leading a values based life. I should be more careful and look for something informative in the nonfiction section and stay out of the journal category. My growing dot journal skills can take care of the journal side. Transparency and clear analysis are potential values I am exploring. As an analytical person, I wonder what percentage of the pages in this book are unique. If the publishers is this book were more transparent about that they would have one less return to deal with. maybe they have other products that could be more helpful to someone like me. Those cards look interesting, but I'm feeling kinda tricked right now.

Does what it says on the tin
Very nice book in terms of presentation and packaging. Strong focus on crystalizing and articulating one's core values, which can take some time to sort through. Used this as part of personal development work I was doing and by focusing on this over 13 weeks/3 months, it forced/allowed me to expand on my values, hone in on what really mattered to me, and clarify what each value meant to me. To get a better feel of what is in the book, take a look at the images here on Amazon or on the BestSelf website to see what you're getting. This is not a book I would use over and over--it's more of a discrete event I engaged in to understand myself better. For regular planning and reflection, I would use the BestSelf Self Journal instead, which I do use and which I recommend for ongoing daily use.

Great concept. Feels a bit disjointed.
I love working through the burnout journal and was hoping for a similar flow (weekly activity/planner, 7 days of daily pages, weekly reflection, & repeat). The core values journal is set up in sections over a day to day. Sections include: activities, weekly planning, & daily pages. Something that would assist with this is including a bookmark ribbon for each section vs the single the book comes with. I’ll update my review as I try out the journal.
