Q: Does this attract fire flies?

I have seen no evidence in the collection portion of the unit.

Q: Does the DT 1260 model come with the stand?

Yes it comes with pole. I have it on my deck about 8 feet from backdoor. Works great and no chemicals. I live in Texas and we have mosquitoes 11 months out of the year!

Q: Does this work for flies?

Just be sure to empty the insect cup and brush away the dead insects in the inside. I have zero flies in my house when this is being used.

Q: If I use additional attractant where should I put it?

It goes into the basket that collects the bugs. They sell sachets that attract. They work pretty well but not as good as I expected.
