DEWALT20V Vacuum, Cordless Handheld Vacuum, HEPA, Battery Not Included (DCV501HB)

I purchased this vacuum kind of as an impulse purchase because I have a lot of Dewalt 20v tools and the vacuum was on a limited time deal for the typical Dewalt 99.00 bare tool sales price.I have a 20v impact and a 20v tire inflator that I keep in my SUV at all times for roadside emergencies and thought if this was compact enough, I would just throw it in the back for when I wanted to clean up the SUV if I hauled anything dirty of when the floor mats built up dirt etc.,I've had the vacuum for a few weeks now and I find myself using it multiple times a week! It has really good suction with plenty of power a comfortable weight and feels solidly built.The design of the tool is well thought out. A simple thumb press release lets you remove the canister, and the filter simply pulls out so you can empty the canister and shake out the filter. I am using 5Ah batteries and I am able to vacuum the full interior on one battery.The included accessories give you pretty much all the things you will want/need to get to every part of the interior. As an added bonus, the extension wand and floor sweep will turn this into a cordless portable "stick vac" My wife plans to try this function the next time we take our camper out for a weekend. This "impulse" purchase has been a great addition to my 20v collection and I'm happy I decided to purchase one. I'm considering ordering one of the "micro cleaning kits" available in 1-1/4". The adapter will slide onto this vacuum and would give the ability to get to even the smallest areas to clean if you really want to get detailing. Engineered by people who actually use the product. I was on the fence about this thing because all I need is another gadget turned paperweight because it doesn't work. I'm glad to say that I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and versatility of this "gadget". It's perfect for what I got it for, hard covered floors and for picking up pet hair instead of using a broom and dust pan. Even spills like coffee and sugar and such are no problem for it.I can't find anything wrong with it to date unless some battery drainage when not in use is even an issue, just pull out the battery and put it back in when I'm ready to use it. And I love this little feature I discovered by accident. It may be in the owners manual but who reads those, LOL! The little rollers on the bottom of the sweeper head pop out for easy cleaning. How Kool is that!And yes I recommend a bigger battery because it is a little hard on batteries when used continuously, AKA multiple floors in multiple rooms.Only one small improvement that I would make would be a foam sock for over the filter to filter out bigger stuff like pet hair. A few light taps, alternating ends, knocks out the big stuff from the filter so no big deal.

This is amazing. I moved into a small bus conversion and was looking for a small vaccume for routine house cleaning. I already own dewalt batteries so I figured is give this a try. I love it. It's the perfect size for my little bus and can reach all the small spaces. It picks up all the pet hair off the floor and couch. Also works great for cleaning out my car. Note that it does not come with batteries or a charger, which are quite expensive of you don't already have them.

I love my Dewalt vacuum. The vacuum head is a little small, but for my use is perfect. There is fantastic suction, and it makes me happy every day when I vacuum up cat hair, scattered cat litter and bits of cat kibble. I only have hard floors and only a few scatter rugs. It doesn't work on rugs really at all, and I'm sure it wouldn't work on carpet. I have a small house that I vacuum every day and I use two 20v 5ah batteries every day (the batteries are old, maybe five years or so from my husband's stash of tool batteries). It is loud, but that isn't a problem for me.

I've been wanting this baby for awhile! When I make a purchase I check out the negative reviews first. There were some negative reviews about this product that would usually deter me from a purchase. Some lame and you know there is always people that just like to complain. I thought, what the hell, I can always return this if the suction isn't powerful enough. Nothing wrong with the suction on this bad ass 🙀!!! I give it 4 stars, and these are so minor. I hate when the battery is not included😖 but ok purchased a twin pack with charging station. OUCH $$ Secondly, there is an attachment that gives you a wider span to vacuum. On this you can use the bristle attachment that slides on. My complaint on that is it does not stay locked in place and slides off when doing a side to side vac. Thirdly, this is not the lightest of cordless vacs if that's what you need and then add the bulky battery. Would I buy this again? ABSOLUTELY!!! This far out shines my Black & Deckers and Shark vacs.

This vac does what I need it to do. The suction is very powerful; only warning is that you will need about a 5 Ah or more battery to get decent battery life from the vac. Without that, you will be frustrated with the amount of time it lasts. I don't use the vac a lot, but with a 5 Ah battery It lasts me about 2-3 weeks between charging. I use about 2 minutes per day. However, the vac really is pretty powerful for my light usage. It really sucks!

Super convenient! I use this all the time when I don’t feel like pulling out my Dyson and plugging it in. It gets in tight spots that my Dyson cannot and it’s great. I did have to buy a battery but I think this was well worth the investment. I use this little vacuum almost everyday because I do have a lab who sheds a ton. It has great suction power and I’m so happy with my purchase!

I have two other Dewalt 20v items and three batteries so thought I'd try this out. This thing rocks. So easy to use, especially for quick pick ups. The pivoting brush head is great to get under chairs, sofas and in corners. I am now entrenched in the Dewalt ecosystem.
