is this item considered a laxative?

The Lower Bowel Formula is not a laxative, but an herbal cleansing and rebuilding formula.  ( A laxative-type formula would be the Quick Colon #1 - used only in emergencies)  The Lower Bowel Formula uses food herbs that are specific in toning, rebuilding and strengthening the bowels. It gets the peristaltic muscles going and aids in cleaning out old fecal matter that enemas, colonics or laxatives can't touch. This formula cleans the liver and gall bladder, starts the bowel flowing and helps the colon knead out the waste. The stated dosage on the bottle is a tonic dose, and as each person's body is different, the amount taken varies person to person. Start with 2 caps three times a day. What is the vegetable based capsule made of? I am allergic to soy and a lot of plant based capsules have soy in them.

Our hard shell vegetable capsules are produced with Hydroxipropylmethylcellulose (HPMC), derived from wood and cotton fibers, which is certified as Kosher for year round & passover use by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America & meets all requirements of current USP and FCC (Food Chemical Codex). HPMC. They are considered Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by FDA, are non-ionic & sulfate free. Finally there now is a real alternative for vegetarians & consumers who are restricted by religion from taking capsules made from beef or pork by products.

Does anyone know why Dr. Christophers bottles come in different colors? Is it recording of some sort?

Red is cleansing products. Blue is Nourishing products and Green is for healing products. here is some info I found online for Dr. Christopher's philosphy:
