Q: Would it be suitable for a small pony as an overnight enclosure?

In my experience, this would only work for the minuscule mounts of the Otherworld Fae. And good luck with that. Any carbon-based, standard bred Equus ferus caballus, that we’re mostly associated with, I’m going to go with: no. This would not be suitable.

Q: living in florida, we had a nursery for monarchs BUT the lizards figured out how to chew thru the mesh to get at em, is this lizard proof???

With a live rabbit inside the cage and placed in front of a hungry komodo dragon, I would say yes. Any lizard species that consumes mostly insects would probably not be able to chew through the steel mesh screen.

Q: Would this work for hatching praying mantis eggs or would they be able to escape easily?

It seems to be a quite secure enclosure. I would say yes, but make sure when putting it together that the screws are tightly secured. This makes sure there are no gaps in the seams. I have had no issues with anything escaping, including tiny crickets. I am not sure how small mantis eggs are, so if they would not fit through a fine screen mesh, you should be OK.

Q: will it fit small milkweed plants inside? I bought the really small ones and the bees are killing all the catapillars this year.

It would have to be a really small plant. I use it with milkweed cuttings in water for my monarch caterpillars. You might look into netting the plant outside. I've never had problems with bees before- just wasps and T-flys
