Q: How often should you change bandages?

I believe the pkg says don't leave on for more then 3 days. I found the answer really depends on what you are using it for:a bed sore, an insect bite, a cut etc. First always clean the area with saline solution and gauze. I always use Manuka honey and put one of theseto seal it up. I would leave it on depending on how long it stayed sealed. You can see if the seal becomes compromised. Immediately change it if the seal is broken. If your seal remains tight the usual amount of time i would leave the bandage on was 3 days. However, I have left the bandage on for ad long as 5 days if the seal remained intact and any discharge from the sight was not visible thru the bandage. It Will not"leak" per say but you will be able to see if things look ominous. So about 3 days as long as everything looks and feels good. If it's feels and looks as if things are healing well, I've left a bandage on for 5 days. And change it immediately, no matter how long you've had it on, if things smell, if the seal is broken, if it looks like the color isn't right, or if you are just not sure. You'll get more of a feel for it when you start using them. They are absolutely amazing as a healing aide.
