McGraw Hill Vocabulary Grades 6-8, Third Edition 3rd Edition

I like how the book is set up. It gives you the word, the definition, the synonyms, the antonyms, homographs, puzzles, and then how to use it in a sentence. For me this is a must have for teaching at home. My daughter is finally remembering more words and using them correctly.

This is a really good source to get students started on high level words. I use this with my students in 5th grade who are at a 5th grade reading level.

My 10 year old really likes the format of the activities of the vocabulary book. My child is able to go through with minimal assistance. As a parent I really like the format & lessons of the workbook.

Perfect fit for a homeschool family.

Can’t recommend this book enough… So much thoughts have been put in this book by the author to put together these 50 groups of words! Please see photos I attached. And on top of choosing these very useful and easily misused words, he came up with three different and very fun exercises for you to practice each group of words, making sure that you would be very clear on their meanings and how/where to use them. Thank you, author Mr. Gary Robert Muschla! My son and I are both learning so much with this book! 👍👍👍

We tried this workbook to help our current curriculum and have been extremely happy with it. My boys have enjoyed how the work ends in a word or phrase that reinforces if the work was done correctly. Highly recommend

This book is awesome! It's a very easy-to-read book with guided lessons focused on word type or group and includes wordlists and practice lessons. Each lesson first begins with words and parts of speech, definition, sample sentence, and vocabulary tip at the bottom of each page. Strongly recommend this essential tool to build or enhance reading and vocabulary skills for a forth or fifth grader or middle-schooler.
