So far so good
Really easy to set up. Masses of functionality. Assuming it's reliable then I highly recommend.

Good but not great (better with a 6W panel!)
This is a good unit but there are a few issues. The solar panel is not charging faster than the unit uses power. The panel has no shadows across it at any time of the day and is angled due South and correctly to the sun, but UK winter sun is not enough for it and it is discharging slowly.....battery/solar only lasted a week.PIR recordings are good but delayed start. Our home system allows us to set recordings to start 10 secs before the detection point so we see the full action. On Reolink tge recording starts quite late.Menu system in the App keeps a lot of thungs difficult to find and set up. Frustrating.Optics is very good.Connecting is not reliable but unsure if this is the unit or mobile coverage problems.Overall good but could he better ..>>>>> Additional note 2 months on......The camera came with a 3W solar panel. Facing South at the correct angle, the camera still steadily discharged. Reo tech support had no solution (they could only suggest checking the solar panel setup, which I checked and it was fine). I bought the Reolink 6W solar panel sorted and this instantly sorted the problem. The Reo camera needs this 6W panel to work in the UK in the Winter with a low sun and frequent cloud.......the camera should come with a 6W solar panel as Standard!!!! Reo please take note!!!!

Highly recommend
Excellent product . After care support is 5 star. Having recently had some technical issues the support team responded very quickly and a replacement camera delivered next day !

Pretty cool camera and very versatile
So we bought the camera not expecting too much but to be honest, it's a great little tool. It's easy to setup, small and with good (but not perfect) resolution. Ideally it could use a larger sensor (currently 4mp) but you have to keep in mind that the data is going to be sent over the mobile network so more data means more cost. Currently the Camera is 100 miles from our home and logging in is quick with the camera motion clean and steady. We don't use the night vision or the motion detection so I can't comment on these functions. Overall it gets a good thumbs up from me

The camera is useless. At the moment, due to the lack of sun, it has been out of operation
Very weak battery. In the absence of the sun, it is practically impossible to recharge the camera to 100%. Solar is not adequately small for the battery capacity. When the motion sensor is activated, the charging time is longer because the camera wakes up to start recording, which consumes more energy. Night vision works, but only at close range. At longer distances, it does not turn on at all. Useless. The motion sensor activates the camera, and it records a video whose sequence is very limited - there is no introduction - it looks like it was recorded in the middle of motion detection on the camera. On cloudy days, the camera works only a few days, depending on how often it is woken up by the motion sensor and depending on how often you use Live viewDue to the fact that the camera goes to sleep when it is not used or does not detect any movement at night and when the outside temperatures are lower - the lens has a tendency to fogging and frosting, which disappears only after several minutes of using the live view camera. This is due to the fact that the camera at rest does not emit heat as cameras that are connected to a continuous power supply.

amazing camera
Moved my horses from a livery yard with owners on site to a field with stables and needed some security, this was easy to set up and now we are all checking in on them from our phones! My biggest question was how much data it would use? We have used 0.5GB in the last 2 weeks and that includes all the alerts we get and additional checking in over the firework period. Easy to set up and use and peace of mind

It works well but you need direct sun to charge
I have got 2 of these cameras and been using them for about 9 months now. They do great at capturing images and the Giffgaff 2Gb Sim I got separately is cheap to use in it at £6/month, as there is no wifi at the locations. The only problem I have had is now that we are in winter and the sun is low, 1 of the cameras solar panels doesnt get direst sun, it is facingthe right way but really doesn't seem to charge. I have had a replacement system from them, just in case it was a fault, but it is the same. In the summer when the sun is higer it will get direct sun and so should charge ok. But just bear that in mind. At the moment I have to take the camera down after about a week or so to fully charge, which is a pain as it is on a remote site, not at home. The other camera charges ok as it does get direct sun, when it appears of course!I would buy one again but make sure the location has direct sun in the winter too.
