Bought these for my kids to put in their cars in case of emergency. Very impressive with how usable every thing in this kit is. My daughter being at college loves the whistle and having this in her car. Helps both my kids feel safe.

I bought two, one for myself and another as a gift. Flashlight clip is easily bent, but it's bright and has adjustable focus (spot or flood). Keychain light is dead simple, bright enough for finding a keyhole in the dark. Knife is simple stamped steel with a ground-on edge, but is sharp enough for light work. Locks into place, which is a bonus. Larger compass is hell of a lot easier to use than the button compass included on the paracord bracelet. Fire-starter works. No clue how effective the wire saw is, but would benefit from having some sticks put through the handles so you can grip it better. Pen works, writes decently. Multi-tool card is... an afterthought? Lots of sharp edges to snag on you, dubious if it can actually perform if needed. The case is easily cracked, the one I'm keeping has a crack on it (shipping damage, I'm guessing).All in all, it has some value but not everything in the kit is bona-fide.

I love this survival kit! I plan to buy one for each one of my kids and maybe even as gifts for friends and family. It is an affordable gift too. I think everyone should have a survival kit like this in their car and one in their emergency kit at home. All the small multifunctional survival tools fit nicely in the compact case they come in. I would say the only thing I did not like about the kit is that there are no examples or instructions on how to use most of the survival tools in the kit. For example, my favorite tool is the kit is the knife card. There is a chart that labels the parts on this knife card, but I had no idea what the name of some of those parts meant or exactly how to use them. What is a direction ancillary indication and how do you use it? I googled it. It is a makeshift compass and there are instructions to google to learn how to makeshift it. I would love a sample video link or written instructions to come with the kit to explain every tool and part of that tool and how to use it.
