Q: My existing fan had 2 wires, this has 3. can i still use this? which wires should i use?

My power is two wires. Red Is hot and Black is Negative. They match up with the red and black of the fan. You don't need to use the white which is control or feedback.

Q: Looking at the product picture: Which way does this fan blow when on? Down?

Also, I noticed a neat rule of thumb because I have seen fans without the arrow. The side that connects to the fan shroud is the path of airflow. So if you were to flip this fan, see how it connects, then it will be blowing at you.
