Proud and Loving it!
I've had my switch modded for a year and it's always looked great and finally decided to mod my PS5 controller next and boy do they look amazing together! My girl now makes drifting jokes to me and always turns on house phonk whenever I turn any of them on. Then the joke got real when the right joycon's stick decided to actually drift! Funny story aside though, I diffidently mean it when I say this mod was worth every penny and time put into it. I'll most likely be modding all my first brand controllers like this!PROS; Easy to install! There's a video on youtube that you can follow that really helps. If I were to compare I'd say the joycon is the most difficult since it is so compact so PS5 will be much more enjoyable to install! I was actually more relax where the joycon had me nervous with every step! The light change is easy to do and they always look amazing! You would think they drain the battery faster but it honestly doesn't feel much different. Although I went the extra mile and upgraded the battery for my controller as well. You might as well if you're gonna open it and drain more battery life! So my controller now lasts an entire day unplugged even with these LED lights. So you might notice a slight difference with normal battery and I suggest you upgrade it too while you're doing this.CONS; It can't be helped but it's super fragile and you won't notice if any mistakes are made until after the install. I suggest making small efforts to do any testing before fully putting it together and to slowly take your time. You eventually have to make a choice in cutting two paper ends and there's no real instructions on how to know which controller you have to know which ends to cut(and you'll see what I mean when you start installing). I believe the controller model number is somewhere on the controller motherboard but I can't recall where so I'm sorry I can't specify. If anything goes wrong I suggest seeing if anything is loose or ripped and then try getting a replacement. It's difficult to know if anything is fully plugged in until after you test it. This is easy to break but once installed you're pretty much in the clear. My personal complaint is I wish the shoulder buttons would also light up. It's really just the entire front but I suppose it's not really possible with how the controller is made. If they could find a way though that would be amazing and will find me returning for the upgraded set! Another opinion I have is I wish the button symbols were more like the original than throwing in extra lines making it look like a third brand controller. But these aren't real issues and I'm super happy with it regardless so I still give this product five stars!

Very happy with the controller!
The media could not be loaded. This might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I genuinely had a great time added this on. I added the eXtremeRate Multi-Colors LEDs when swapping it out for the Clear PS5 shell that eXtreme Rate also sells. I decided to knock 2 birds with 1 stone. So I ended up creating this monstrosity of a controller. It looks really cool to see all the colors cycle through. You can have it to one certain color and have it cycle through all of them. You can also have it off if you think it’s too bright. My only problem with it is that obviously the controller will die faster as the light emitting through will drain through the controller like there’s no tomorrow. Fortunately for me, I have my PC and PS5 on my gaming desk/battlestation, so there’s never a problem if I need to charge it. I usually play wired anyways. Just a piece of mind for those who are interested in getting this. It looks amazing and I’m very happy to have tinkered with it.

Poor customer service
When I received this item, it had a buyer's original playstation controller buttons in the box. The item was previously purchased and the buyer sent the item back with their original ps5 controller buttons inside. Extremerate did not properly check their returns and instead shipped this item to me with someone else's ps5 controller buttons inside. I sent this item back and Extremerate claims they never received it. Even after having this issue resolved through Amazon MONTHS AGO, I just checked my account and I was charged for this item. Extremerate ripped me off. I paid for a box of someone else's ps5 controller buttons.

Worth it, save yourself some time.
Let me start off by saying I have done custom LED controllers since ps3. I've done ps3 controllers, ps4, Xbox one, Xbox 360, psX, etc. I did the whole shebang, soldering wires to LEDs then using a dremel to create mounting positions for said LEDs, hot glue, routing cables through the controllers, then soldering to the motherboard. This is not an easy task especially for a beginner, and you may burn a controller or two on the learning curve. I came across these kits by coincidence and these are amazing. It's basically a 2nd daughter board being installed, CAKE. There are reviews stating issues with LEDs going out, not working properly, staying on, killing batteries, blah blah blah. I'll tell you now, this is 10x easier then actually putting lights in yourself. And yes, things happen and stuff doesn't work right or LEDs go out. It's a common thing when adding modifications. Did the manufacturer do it? No. You did. Expect the worst, hope for the best. I threw in some pics of my personal work in comparison to this kit, the ps5 controller is this kit vs ps4 controller is my custom. I haven't had any issues so far and I've done 4 of them for ps5.
