OEM Hydrotech filters, worth the price of admission
I used to be a Hydrotech dealer. Back in the day they were the best.I still see them as the best to this day. I usually get a year out of the 2 pre-filters. The post, the 4th one I change every other year. The membrane 3rd vessel gets a rinse and clean every filter change. These will keep your unit running good and providing pure R/O water. These filters are the best, a good tight quality made sediment filter and 2 solid carbon block filters. OEM is the way to go.

Perfect Fit-Perfect Price
I have been buying my replacement filters for many years from the manufacturer and recently saw these on Amazon for about half the price. They are almost identical to the brand names and work just fine.

Avoid, Chinese junk
When tried to order more Hydrotech replacement cartridges the link in my order history returned a "page not found error". So I found these supposedly compatible non-OEM filters and decided to give them a shot. They were about $6-7 cheaper than the OEM Hydrotech. When I received them they were noticeably lighter than the OEM's, and also looked somewhat flimsy. After I installed them and began emptying the first tank, the first rush of water had dark black stains. They cleared fairly quickly but it was obvious it was part of the carbon filter coming through. The second tank full of water was clear but the water had an off taste a friend of mine described as salty with a distinct aftertaste. I've stopped using my RO system and am awaiting OEM filters from a non-Amazon company. Curious, I searched the Chinese manufacturer, FILSADAE WATERTEC. But every link I clicked resulted an unable to connect error. I'm drinking bottled water for the time being and am kicking myself for trying to save a few dollars. When I get my new ones I'm going to cut these cheap ones open to see how they compare to the OEM'.s. Avoid these filters, they are just cheap, Chinese junk.
