Easy set up, and good build quality
Great mobo for the price. I used it for a business build for a new photo editing machine. Very sturdy, lots of I/o ports, and the ability to add m.2 in the future is something nice! It recognized my dual channel memory right away, bios is very easy to use, and can't complain about anything. Will be back to Gigabyte to build a machine for my family.

Excellent. I always get Gigabyte motherboards!
I have been using Gigabyte boards for 20 years now. As expected this one has been working good right from the start. Here is a tip. Make sure you don't have any foreign material in the different slots (PCI, PCIe, DDR, etc). It's always a good idea to blow them out with canned air just in case. Then pay attention to the CPU socket pins and make sure they are all straight or lined up. I had to tweak a few on a used board I got from the Amazon warehouse. Finally, you want to be gentle setting the board into the case. The standoffs can actually land on a circuit path and scratch/screw up the board! Be gentle.

Another Awesome Product
I gave a poor review at first simply because things didn't work OOTB (Out of the Box). When in fact, it wasn't Gigabyte's fault at all, it was Microsoft's doing. There's a Windows 10 update that has to be installed before the drivers would even be detected. I'm thankful I got my Intel X540-T2 CNA to work, otherwise I'd have left that nastygram review for Gigabyte. I ran all the Windows updates, and it's detected everything now. Faith has been restored! :) 5 Stars to Gigabyte for another solid board, my desktop before has an LGA775 Socket, 5 years old. Still runs like a champ.

Hard to configure BIOS settings, other than that it works fine.
Hard to overclock RAM. I've been in the BIOS and I have tried everything, but no matter what I do I can't get it to overclock RAM faster than 2400Mhz and I have 3200Mhz capable RAM. Other than that this motherboard is solid in every other aspect. I bought this for a sibling since it was newer and cheaper. Worked great with an i3-7100. My personal computer has an Asus Z170i motherboard. It's not perfect either it came with a bad CMOS battery. I replaced it and it has worked great ever since. If the Asus Z270i was out I would probably buy it with a 7700k. Comparing Gigabyte and Asus motherboards side by side I think Asus is easier to use in the BIOS. You can easily overclock the processor and RAM in the BIOS without much effort. I also like some of the utilities the motherboard comes with like AISuite3 for a lot of control over your motherboard within Windows. Can update BIOS from it as well as adjust fan speed and fan curves. Nothing like that came with this board. There really isn't a performance benefit to choosing a motherboard. It is more for extra features and utilities as well as ease of use, so don't let me stop you from buying this board. It is a very good motherboard for the 7th generation intel processors for a very good price.

Good value
My order came slightly defective, yet to liaise with Amazon's amazing customer service yet, but I bought the same board from my local store as a replacement, so I definitely can review this board. If you need a powerful mini ITX system along with 7.1 audio, this board is a good place to start.Below are my system specs:Obsidian 250D casei5-75002X8GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM1 SSD2 HDDRadeon 7850This system is more than capable in handling gaming, web browsing, applications. Anything you throw at it, it'll handle. Multitasking is a breeze. I've never hit 100% CPU utilisation apart from rendering videos. But back to the motherboard. It comes with a wifi module and since almost nobody has an optical drive anymore, do note to download the wifi drivers from gigabyte's website to activate the wifi. Then download the latest realtek audio drivers, and you can reassign the line-out (blue) jack into a side speaker out jack to get 7.1 audio. The 2 RAM slots is more than enough for the average user. I have 16GB of RAM and never even hit 6GB of use as I am gaming while playing youtube videos or doing other things.I am not too sure with using custom CPU coolers as I am using the stock heatsink fan, but I know you need to take dimensions into consideration as the USB 3 header is near the CPU socket.

This is NOT fully compatible with 7th generation processors, if you want to run an SSD only system!!!
The board from Amazon has an older BIOS and you either need a 6th gen processor to update it yourself or you need to RMA it back to Gigabyte. This should not be advertised as 7th gen compatible until Amazon sends their stock back to Gigabyte and stock boards with the new BIOS!I pulled my boot (Linux) SSD from my old system placed it on this board. With the SSD as the only drive, it would not recognize it as the boot drive and refused to boot. Only after adding my data hard drive to the system, it would boot off the SSD... No way I'm I going to pay to have my two boards shipped back to get them updated. Shame on Gigabyte and Amazon for advertising this as 7th gen compatible.

highly recommend
Really terrific motherboard. I built a small-ish HTPC with this board and a i3-7100 CPU. Performs great with Windows 10. Love all the USB 3 ports and nice little touches in such a compact package.

Great Motherboard. No Problems
Great Motherboard. It worked perfectly and really is ultra durable as it didn't break at all (i didnt try to break it). No signs of any damage so far and the board supports 2400 mhz ram, an added bonus. I recommend this motherboard for any build. Also the optane support is nice, I don't have an optane module but it's nice to future proof for it.
