Q: What thickness of door will this work on? My door is 4.5cm thick.

My doors are 3.5 cm but there is enough space to get a finger between the door and the roll if you push it. The material will also stretch. They really are a great buy.

Q: How effective is this product at reducing noise coming into and out of the room? Looking to make an office space a bit more private.

I personally think it's very good. But depends on the amount of noise you around you.

Q: what is width of the groove between the foam inserts

About 35 - 40mm, but it does stretch, more than ample for internal doors.

Q: The smallest is 10cm too long for my door. If i cut it down to size, will it stay on the door? Can you change the size of the sides?

I cut 3 inches off the length of the 36 inch one. It stays in place perfectly and stops and draught under the door. Hope that helps.
