I bought these because my 2 year old kept opening the fridge, getting things out, leaving it open etc. After she poured 4 pints of milk all over my rug I decided I needed to put some kind of lock on it. I did both fridge & freezer as I knew if she couldn’t get in the fridge she’d move onto the freezer.These are so easy to install & (so far) are amazing! She can’t get in the fridge AT ALL, no matter how hard she tries. She’s now given up trying. I would HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who needs to keep an explorative toddler out the fridge.UPDATE: 6 months on & they’re still going strong! My daughters now 3 & my little one is nearly 2 so he likes to try to get in the fridge but is never successful! Highly recommend.UPDATE: 8 months on & the fridge one has now snapped. It has been pretty well hammered from usage so I would still recommend & will definitely buy another one to replace it.

After 8 years the seals on our fridge door have lost some of their grip and the door would occasionally pop open an annoying couple of millimetres - letting warmth in with us barely noticing. So my main objective was to get something which would hold it tight closed - rather than wanting to stop a toddler raiding the fridge. Also, our fridge is very close to the wall and it's impossible to put the child lock there.So I fixed it to the top of the fridge right on the center where the slightly curved door best met it level. This means that the smaller catch part on the door is 1mm higher than the longer bit attached to the top of the fridge. So it doesn't catch firmly enough to keep out a pesky child, but does hold the door tight - and allows it to be opened more easily. Not a fault of the product, and perfect for us.The glue seems strong and overall a very good purchase.

Maybe we have some sort of poltergeist helping her, maybe when we go out or up to bed she sprouts secret opposable thumbs!? whatever the case, the locks were bought to keep her out of our under counter fridge and freezer and she’s still managed to get in an rob all my cheese. It goes without saying, that the locks have fallen short of my expectations.The brilliant ‘Balla-dini’ aside, they have a a little bit of a chunk to them, which was an issue with my under counter fridge/freezer, i’ve managed to stick it by the skirting but the top if the module does block the cupboard next to it and any lower would be ineffective so it just about works.I also really like that it snaps shut on closing the fridge door so that the lazyitis that household members seem to suffer with doesn’t prevent the fridge being locked.I would recommend them to anyone with young children, I’m not sure if normal dogs do this sort of thing - the layout of the house isn’t helping 🤔

After cleaning and drying the fridge surface, I removed the protective strips and tried to apply the parts. After applying reasonable pressure to try to create a bond, one part just fell off, followed shortly by the other. As per buttered toast, they fell sticky side down. As a result the adhesive pads are now even more ineffective than they were originally. Although there is a note on the product that the adhesion gets better after 72 hours, it doesn't help if it doesn't stick from the start. The design is good, so I've used some 3M control strips to fix it in place. I approached the seller who just said to return them and buy them again if I wanted a replacement. If I hadn't already got some control strips, it would have been 1 star.

Arrived sooner than we expected. We have a mini freezer that keeps coming open and creates a problem. This is keeping it closed perfectly and stopping the freezer from icing up. It was very easy to install and opens and shuts beautifully. I'm glad I spent a bit extra to get a quality product. Better still, the husband is pleased he doesn't have to keep mopping up the puddles on the floor any more : ) (I'm talking about the defrosted freezer)
