RICA Prep Book 2025-2026: Study Guide with 2 Practice Tests (Updated for the Revised Exam Outline) [5th Edition]

As an aspiring teacher, I can attest that this review book is accurate in helping you study for the test’s main components, theoretical research, and providing similar tests. The practice tests helped me greatly in simulating my test taking strategies, which it provides, and allowed me to build confidence. My favorite features are the following: explanations for answers, theoretical concepts, and 2 practice tests. Highly recommend!

This book was great. I passed all three subtests in 2024 on the first tries. I highly recommend doing the practice quizzes and tests over and over.

Test Prep Books sent me a copy to review. Studying for RICA can be extremely overwhelming. Their study prep book keeps it in simple terms without jamming all the info on one page. It includes test taking strategies, a study prep plan (for one week, two week, or one month), important topics, and practice tests. It highlights and breaks down word analysis; fluency; vocab, academic language, & background knowledge; and comprehension. I'm looking forward to using it as an additional tool to help me prepare for RICA.

This book has 3 practice tests with explanations for every single answer and reasons why the other answers are not correct. It also has good advice for how to prepare for the test and strategies to use while taking the test. This book really helped me prepare and I would definitely recommend it!

It does have some good review of terms and definitions. It is a bit repetitive and doesn't offer a ton of specific ideas for things like working with advanced Learners. It has the same repetitive paragraph in different sections that simply says they can move at a faster rate. Brilliant.My biggest beef with this book is that there iare absolutely no sample responses for the constructed response practice questions. This is the area that I most want to practice. I understand that it responses may vary, but to completely omit possible answers is pretty lazy.
