Noctua NM-i17xx-MP78, Mounting Kit for Noctua CPU Coolers on Intel LGA1851 and LGA1700

With this kit I was able to install my old chroma black cooler onto the newer LGA1700 CPU socket without any problems.Quality A+ (I’d say better than what comes with the box coolers. No little locking parts to deal with.)Value for the money these kits are way cheaper than buying new coolers.Performance is what you’d expect from this type of kit, has no loose parts so zero noise, looks clean, and it’s super easy to install.Noctua as a company let me down on this one. I tried to contact support numerous times to get one of these kits (or figure out what kit I needed.) never once did I ever get as much as a response, zip zero nodda.I’m a HUGE fan of Noctua and a long time user at 20+ years. Every air cooler in every system I build (unless requested otherwise) is Noctua.-side note: don’t throw away your box of spare Noctua mounting hardware. 😉

This was so I can use the tower cooler on my new CPU and mobo. Worked like it should and it was not priced stupidly.

Simple, quick installation. Good instructions. I did run into one problem: I was a dope and didn't have a clue what a "78mm pitch" meant so I bought this kit for my DH15S which needed an 83mm pitch so I thought I was SOL but I found an easy work-around. I used the two brackets from my DH15S and that gave me the extra 5mm I needed! You have to put them on "cock-eyed" with one screw in the middle hole and one screw in the outer hole, but it works just fine. Next time I'll read the product information before I buy!

If for some reason you lost some parts and you now can't connect the Noctua cooler to your Intel motherboard - this is the kit you need.

I love Noctua system that allows for an almost 10 years old cooler to be reused for a top-of-the-line gen 14 CPU. That's what I call green: reusing, not making it disposable and thus poor quality.

Very good option to retrofit existing fan to a new motherboard. Noctua has excellent engineering. Item fit perfectly. Easy to determine match between mounting kit, fan and motherboard

Works great for my Intel Core i5-13500. My Noctua NH-U9S didn't come with these brackets, or I lost them. I don't know which.

Great mount, but I got this as a kit with the NH-U12S as some noted that item did not come with an LGA 1700 mount. The one I received did, but the kit, with the bundle discount, was only $2 more.So just note this is not needed with that model.As to the mount itself, worked great on a 13th Gen LGA 1700 i9-13900k build, no issues!
