Super Value
Several keys on the original keyboard died, necessitating replacement. This fits my Inspirion 15R 5537 exactly.Little bit fiddly installing the ribbon cable, having never done this particular install before. Same with getting bottom locking tabs in place, again not wanting to force things.Go slow, take your time - but that said it was a five minute removal and install. Lots of how-to YouTube videos; watch a few and you'll be good to go.Will update once this has been in service for a while, as I use this laptop every day.So far so good. Recommend.

Gets the job done
The keyboard is a good replacement. The only issue I have is the Caps lock key does not light up like the manufacturer keyboard does. Thus 4 star rating.

Almost OEM
Quite easy to take out the old and put in the new. A few instructions would be nice for people who haven’t worked with a connector less ribbon cable, but no biggie.I also had an esoteric software issue, but one I got that under control it worked great. The touch is the only way you’d know it wasn’t OEM; it’s just a tiny bit spongy.

Replacement for the original
In the process of cleaning the keyboard of my seven year old Dell Inspiron 15R 5537, I somehow screwed up the original keyboard. Could be how I mashed the keys in when wiping them down with a damp cloth, could be the cloth itself, could be both. I didn't know for sure other than I had a keyboard that just didn't work right and needed replacement.Onto the replacement... the price was right. I wasn't going to spend $30 or more for a replacement keyboard for a laptop I'm considering replacing within the next year or so. Installation was a bit more laborious than a one-for-one replacement from Dell; the keyboard DID fit but it took a little more effort to install and get seated correctly. Turned the computer on, did a test, and everything initially worked as advertised (see last paragraph).I will say one thing; this keyboard is LOUD. It's nearly as loud as a desktop keyboard that gets used and abused in the office. The one that came with the laptop was whisper quiet.I've since revised my overall rating from four stars to three stars. Two keys were mismatched and the number 3 on the numeric keypad is sometimes a pain in the ass to get to type out.

i hate this keyboard
Keyboard is easy to install, but it is terrible to use - brand new keyboard, but i have to press certain keys twice or thrice before they're written. the keyboard is thicker than the original....not sure if that account for why it works this way but it is very annoying especially as I type fast. i cannot count how many times i have pressed the backspace key to correctly write out this review just simply because words are written omitting some letters...letters that i already hit my finger on.i bought this keyboard and sadly, I only tried it after the return window had passed. I was too disappointed with it and replaced it back with the original one - I'd rather deal with the sticky keys than cope with this new one. But now my original is out of use and i have no alternative than to use this keyboard - i hate it

Works as expected
I have a 7 year old Inspiron 3521. I have gone thru 2 keyboards on this laptop. This keyboard fit as expected and the responsiveness of the keys is great. One issue you will run into when buying replacement keyboards is the key sensitivity. This particular brand worked well and I have not encountered any issues. I will say, the keys do have slightly more spring in them compared to previously keys which is somewhat of a plus for me. It fits and looks exactly like the OEM board.
